Tickets to the polo at Inanda, dahling! If there’s just one thing in your diary this month, make sure it’s the polo. It really is the social event of the year for the horsey, mink-and-mature set ... but it’s great fun for the rest of us, too. Well worth the drive to Joburg. You can see all those yummy men and their magnificent steeds at the BMW International Polo at the Inanda Club, where the SA team is up against Chile. Sunday August 22, gates open at 10am, the main game is at 2.30pm. Entry fees R100, kids under 12 free. And since we’re still feeling flag-wavingly patriotic, we’ll also be getting tix for the Africa Cup. We’ll be at Inanda on Sunday August 1 ... there’ll be teams from north of our borders and up to seven local SA teams. Tickets will be available at the gates which open at 10am, the big game’s at 2.30pm. If you’re part of the polo set you simply have to see and be seen at these two events!
