Impress with Glenmorangie’s Grand Vintage Malt 1990
After a splendid dinner, nothing ends off an evening quite like a glass of Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1990, one of the most delicious whiskies ever created by this Scottish Highland distillery.
Created with the collector in mind, this is one of an exclusive collection of limited releases in the Glenmorangie’s Bond House No 1 Series collection.
This deep gold malt has heady floral and fruity notes (think heather honey, honeysuckle and freesia mingle with orange blossom, candied fruits, mandarin, pear and apple).
The taste is silky, creamy and mellow with sweet flavours of orange syrup, puff candy, honeycomb, vanilla and some zesty, herbal top notes of gooseberry and menthol, followed with baked apples and pears, brown sugar, malty-biscuit and the gentlest hint of clove.
Sensational. And obviously it doesn’t come cheap.
The grand vintage reflects the rarity and the quality of this exceptional limited-edition single malt and costs around R7 900, from Norman Good Fellows or directly from Glenmorangie.
