Mums will love these kids clothes

Mums will love these kids clothes

You won’t be able to resist dressing your little on in one of these super chic Schnooky Pie designs.

When it comes to our little ones we just cannot help ourselves – nothing is cuter than baby clothing.

We recently stumbled upon Schnooky Pie babies fashion wear and if you haven’t seen it yet, boy you are in for a treat.

Crafted and designed by Jaclyn Holmes this range is to die for.

Holmes started her career as a chef in the kitchens of London’s high society restaurants.

She ended up at a desk overlooking the Indian Ocean working on marketing strategies for local South African laundry and food brands before opening her own business.

The light bulb moment came when Holmes fell pregnant and, like all other corporate mums, she wanted a career that gave her flexibility as a mum but still inspired her and gave her a sense of purpose.

It was during her maternity leave in 2014 while sewing some baby garments with her mother – whom she attributes her sewing skills too – that she decided to start posting pictures of the outfits on Facebook.

Thanks to social media and word of mouth, it wasn’t long before friends started flooding her with orders to buy similar outfits for their babies.

“The general consensus was that us mums were tired of ordering baby outfits online from China and the USA and were desperate for something local that was true to South Africa and of a high quality,” said Holmes.

Schnooky Pie is 100 percent South African, sourcing its quality and comfortable fabric locally in mills around South Africa and using local designers and pattern makers.

The fun, funky and cute designs in the Schnooky Pie range are in limited quantities and each has a unique element like the press studs down the back of the Babygros.

“We are a local brand but take our inspiration from international trends.”

The Schnooky Pie range is from birth to six years and is available online at www.schnookypie.co.za.

is a national brand of premium free magazines available in centres across the country.
