Golden Globes – the best looks

Golden Globes – the best looks

One of our favourite South African fashion designers, Ryan Keys has chosen his top 5 Golden Globe looks, and well, who better to play fashion police than the master himself?

Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors

Olivia showed off her amazing post baby body in this body-con Michael Kors glittery number. The colour looks incredible against her skin tone and the plunged sternum scraping neckline just adds that touch of sexiness to this simple number. Olivia wears the dress, not the other way around which was the case for so many of the looks on the evening. I love the fact that it has a subtle sparkle and hugs her in all the right places. Her husband Jason Sudeikis was wearing matching socks which  finished off the look.

Lily James in rainbow pastel Marchesa gown

Lily recently played the role of Cinderella, and at the Golden Globes she looked just like a princess in this pastel candyfloss gown. If you look carefully you can see hints of mint, blue and purple, which follow into a jaw dropping train. This whimsical gown was draped in all the right places and her make up just accentuates her natural beauty. Well done, Lily!

Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli Couture

Jennifer Lopez turns heads at every event, so it’s not out of the ordinary she does it again at the Golden Globes. This is a very conservative look compared to her usual plunging necklines and short skirt hemlines. This mustard gown works beautifully with her skin tone and she oozes self-confidence –  a must in any dress!

Jenna Dewan-Tatum wearing Zuhair Murad

The dizzying bold colour made Jenna a showstopper at the Golden Globes. The gorgeous deep plunging neckline combined with the delicate embroideries makes me stare in awe at this dress. I don’t know which is more beautiful, Jenna or the dress. I couldn’t imagine a better combination.

Portia Doubleday wearing Naeem Khan

Portia looks stunning in this simple, classic and sexy  disco dress. The fabric takes the dress from simple to a showstopper, making her a standout at the Golden Globes. In this case, more is more!
